Once a year for the last 8 years my brother and I come to white bear bar, get a pitcher of beer and play a rousing game of pool, which we both suck at. So that means I have been here 8 times, and every time it's exactly as I remembered it from the last time. This place gets five stars simply because some place are made to inspire good times. Is it the best and the brightest, no. Does it have the best and cheapest drinks, no. Will you be guaranteed a friendly Minnesotan welcome and a laugh or remembrance of a good time with a friend, yes!

Great little dive bar to go and have some drinks. Not too pricey and it's always been fun to meet up some of the regulars and enjoy a good crowd. The bartenders have always been so nice as well. As long as you are respectful they will be great. It is a cash bar and they do have an ATM, but I bring my own so I don't get charged a fee. They have several televisions, shuffle board, buckets of beer, and some other games that make the bar fun. They have outside seating when it's nice out. Many of the hockey parents will meet up there for some drinks during the season too.

First and foremost its a dive. The place hasn't changed a lick in 35 years. Friendly regulars, ice cold beer, and a pull tab lady make this the perfect dive bar. Yes a dive can earn 5 stars from me.

Dive bar of all dive bars. If you're looking to meet some locals or get a cheap drink with a friend, this is your place. It was the cheers of white bear lake. The bartenders were very friendly and everyone was willing to hold a conversation. Good place to end the night. fyi cash only bar but they do have an atm.

Great dive bar with a roster of regulars. Happy hour includes 2 for the price of 1 plus $1. Fun fact: last year three armed robbers tried to hold the place up at 2am after Thanksgiving not realizing how fiercely the locals would protect their watering hole. The newspapers thus reported the robbers being overrun by the masses and fleeing the premises only to be picked up by local pd.

This place is as good as it gets...for a local dive bar. And when I say dive, i mean that in the most literal sense. Bar streamers and tacky liquor and beer ads pepper the 70's inspired wood paneled interior of this dimly lit neon watering hole. The regulars are characters that have to been seen in person to be believed and the bartenders are not only friendly but easy on the eyes as well. It's a great atmosphere to have a few drinks or get really tossed, either way it's a good time. One major complaint is the men's bathroom. Imagine a cat litter box that's used by 2 adult cats and hasn't been cleaned out in over a month. That's the White Bear Bar men's room 100% accurately described. I have never experienced a smell so foul and pungent as that. It's really takes your breath away every time you go in there and like the regulars, must be experienced to believe. If you can handle the smell of the bathroom you're bound to have a good time. All in all, if you lower your expectations, White Bear Bar is a great place. Also you can pour Kinky shots down a fat chick's buttcrack.
